Our 2021-22 Season Steps Off with: Mna na h'Eireann (Women of Ireland)

Our first speaker of the new season is a member often in our audience and a voice familiar to us from the radio show he hosted for many years on WRHU - Hofstra University Radio, and remembered with admiration from his presentation "Songs and Stories of the Easter 1916 Rising" at our February 2016 meeting. Our guest is Kevin Westley, T.M.R.F.

Kevin's topic is Mna na h'Eireann (Women of Ireland). Kevin's will be a multimedia showcase of stories and songs about great women of Irish history, including Queen Maeve, Grace O'Malley (The Pirate Queen), the women of Cumann na mBan, Irish women of the 20th century and many more.

Join us on Wednesday, September 8th at the Garden City Casino - please note the venue change. The meeting begins at 7:30pm. Maximum attendance is 40, so arrive early to make sure you get a spot!
